I can’t believe a year has already flown by and my baby is now a 1-year old and a toddler! Time really does fly and I want it to stop! His birthday week was probably one of the hardest weeks for me leading up to Wilder’s actual birthday. Not only was I in denial that my baby was turning 1, but I made a promise to myself that I’d stop breastfeeding and nursing him once he hit the 1-year mark. Our breastfeeding journey wasn’t the smoothest, but I’m really proud of the fact that I was able to provide for him for an entire year.

Wilder’s first year of life has been the most exciting, scariest, and most rewarding days of both B and I’s lives. He wasn’t the easiest newborn (seriously traumatized from his colic and acid reflux, haha), but he still somehow managed to be the most chill baby in town. He loves his mama and dada, but he has plenty of love to share with everyone else. There’s something to say about a baby that manages to always be the life of the party. At daycare he has all of his friends going home talking about him and telling his teachers that Wilder is their best friend. Now, a baby that just babbles that is a 3-year olds best friend, is saying a lot about his character! Okay, I’ll stop boasting about how wonderful my baby is (because honestly who doesn’t think their baby is wonderful) and get on with his 1-year photos that we had taken by our wonderful friends at Enamor Film.
