I put this sweet drink to the test this weekend and my husband absolutely loved it! So, it’s B approved, which means mostly anybody would probably love it too! How to:
Step 1: First, we need to make the cool whip heart! Scoop up about 4 large spoonful’s of cool whip and place into a bowl. Drop 1 drop of food coloring into the bowl and stir well. You can add as many drops as you’d like until your desired color is reached.
Step 2: Grab a pan and place parchment paper down. Layer the pink cool whip onto the middle of the pan forming a thick square. Place in freezer for about an hour. DO NOT spread the cool whip across the entire pan. Since the cool whip is still in its frozen state, it will stay perfectly in the area you place it. I wanted the heart to be thick and not too thin, so this is why I suggest placing it in a small area on the pan.
Step 3: Once your cool whip is ready, you can start the pink hot chocolate! Place a medium sized sauce pan onto stove on low heat. Pour in the milk and white chocolate chips. Stir well.
Step 4: Drop in the red food coloring (I recommend 1 drop at a time) until your desired color is reached. I used 2 drops.
Step 5: Pour your pink hot chocolate into a mug and it’s ready to be layered with some sweet treats! Decorate the first layer with some marshmallows. For the second layer, drop a couple heart sprinkles on top of the marshmallows. Lastly, take the cool whip out of the freezer and cut it out into a heart shape using the cookie cutter. Carefully place the cool whip on top of the marshmallows and sprinkles.
Step 6: String your valentine tag onto the handle of the mug and you’re all set!
