DIY Thanksgiving Day Place Card Holder and Free Printable!
I’ve seen so many adorable place card holders on Pinterest and of course, I had to try one out. The DIY spray-painted animals have always been my absolute favorite and I knew I wanted to bring them into this project; plus, how appropriate are these animals for Thanksgiving?! I’m in love with the final product and I actually think you should go and make this now if you don’t have any place cards yet for your table! It’s quick and easy, and I was able to find all of the supplies at Hobby Lobby. To make it even easier, there’s also a free printable for the place cards that I created for you. You can download them here!
Supplies needed:
• Strip of balsa wood
• Natural Mini Birch Discs
• Animal Figurines
• Mini clothespins
• Gold spray paint
• Super glue
• Free printable: Thanksgiving Day place cards
How to make your Thanksgiving Day place card holders:
Step 1: Cut balsa wood to desired height. I cut mine to a height of 5 inches. Be sure to measure properly to allow place cards to hang at the right height.
Step 2: Spray paint balsa wood, clothespins, and animal figurines. Let dry and apply second coat if needed.
Step 3: Once spray paint is dry, super glue animal figurines to your mini birch discs. While figure is drying, glue clothespins onto balsa wood, followed by gluing balsa wood onto mini birch discs.
Step 4: While glue is drying, print and cut out your place cards. Write guests name onto place card.
Step 5: Once glue is dry, pin your place cards onto your Thanksgiving Day place card holders.
How lovely are they?! I think they’re pretty awesome! I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!
