DIY Fall Wreath

DIY Fall Wreath

I can’t believe fall is already here and the weather is actually getting it right this year temperature wise. I was actually able to whip out my fall boots and jacket this weekend! As I’m slowly decorating our new place, one thing that was long over due was to update our wreath that we hang outside our door. Remember this spring wreath I made last year? Well, I decided to repurpose it and make it fall themed!

I found all of my fall flowers at Michaels (there was actually a sale going on with all fall decor this weekend so I scored big time!) and the cute little bird sitting on top of our initial!

This is super simple and easy (as most of my projects are) and takes no time at all to craft up your fall wreath that looks like you spent a fortune on.

What you need:
• Twig wreath
• Wooden letter (optional—you can read how to do this step from this previous post)
• Artificial fall flowers (any of your choice)
• Wire cuttersDIY Fall Wreath

How to make your fall wreath:
You honestly can’t mess this one up. All you need to do is use your wire cutters and cut each individual flower stem off of its bouquet. Once all of your flowers have been cut off, you can arrange them around the wreath any way that you will like. When you have it all figured out, simply stick the flowers into the wreath.

Since the wreath is made out of twigs, it’s a lot easier for your stems to get intertwined and stay put. If you do need extra security, I’ve used thin wire in the past and wrapped it around the stem and wreath. After all of your flowers have been placed, you are now ready to hang your new fall wreath up on your door!DIY Fall Wreath

The little bird above our initial is my absolute favorite. I was pretty excited to hang it on our door once I finished making it; I think it looks superb! How is your fall décor lookin’ so far?
