DIY Spring Wreath
Yup, I did it. I jumped on the bandwagon with this DIY. I’ve wanted to do my own wreath for the longest time and finally said, “today is the day!” There are so many beautiful wreaths out there that you can create. I find the twig wreath to be one of the prettiest, which is what I decided to use as my base. Putting this wreath together took very little time and the end product came out beautiful.
Here’s what you will need (I purchased everything from Michaels):
• Twig wreath
• Silk flowers of your choice—be sure to get an assortment of smaller and larger flowers to add contrast.
• Florist wire—24 gauge
• Pliers
• Hot glue gun
• Wooden Letter—for initial
• Wreath hanger
How to make the spring wreath:
1. Use the pliers to cut the stems off, leaving about 1.5 inches from the base of the flowers.
2. Begin by putting the flowers into the wreath, arranging them how you like. Using a twig wreath, you can simply stick the flowers in-between the intertwined twigs. For extra staying power, be sure to wrap the florist wire around the twigs and the stem of the flower.
3. Once all of your flowers are arranged nicely, you can then hot glue gun the wooden letter and place it onto your wreath.
4. Let dry for at least 30 minutes before hanging up. Place your wreath on your door by using a wreath hanger, and voilà!! Your wreath is now complete!
It’s easy as that! If you do end up making one, let me know how your wreath turns out! Enjoy!
