DIY Christmas Card Photoshoot
The holidays are pretty much here and I can’t believe that we have to already think about Christmas! I went to Target this weekend to find that they had all of their holiday decorations out—say what!? I was panicking a little bit since I know that they are going to be gone by the time I actually need to go and pick out the holiday décor. So nobody go out and buy holiday decorations yet, please and thank you!!!
Since we’re all thinking Christmas and totally skipping Thanksgiving I thought I’d take this opportunity to do B and I’s first Christmas card photos as newlyweds! If you remember the DIY engagement photoshoot I did earlier this year, this one is just as fun, if not easier!
What you need:
• White sheet (we used size full and it worked perfectly!)
• Christmas lights (found these icicle lights at Target)
• Holiday Props (totally optionally, but I was able to find our garland in the dollar section at Target!)
How to DIY your Christmas photos:
Step 1: Tape or thumbtack your sheet onto the wall.
Step 2: Once sheet is hung, you can now hang the lights by using tape or thumbtacks and sticking them into the wall or onto the sheet. I was able to get away with taping the sheet onto the wall and taping the string lights onto the sheet as well with strong washi tape (score!).
Step 3: Grab your props and start your photoshoot!
^^Yes, Portia may or may not be a little frightened right now…
How fun is this shoot!? Portia was kind of scared the whole time because B and I were crazy running around for every photo we were taking. Yes, I had to put the camera on self-timer and run back to quickly get into position! Some of these came out to be hilarious bloopers.
Don’t forget to share your photos using #sharethelv! I’ll see ya guys back here on Monday!
