D.I.Y. Halloween Bark and Goodie Bags

With Halloween coming up this Friday, I figured this D.I.Y. treat with goodie bags would be a perfect post! It’s a fun project to do both with and for the kids, as well as for the Halloween parties I’m sure everyone is going to have!

Halloween Bark

D.I.Y. Halloween Bark

I found this recipe online on how to make the Halloween bark, and boy was it sugary delicious!! Not kidding when I say sugary either…you may or may not want to take each piece of bark in increments.

Ingredients needed:

D.I.Y. Halloween Bark
• 1 lb. of vanilla candy melts (or color and flavor of choice)
• Oreos
• Kit-Kat candy bars
• Pretzels
• Candy corn
• Sprinkles

How to make your Halloween bark:
Step 1: Following instructions on the package, melt 1 lb. of candy melts.

Step 2: While candy melts are melting, place parchment paper onto cookie sheet and prep the Oreos/candies. I suggest breaking the Oreos into fourths, and Kit-Kat’s in halves so it’ll be easier to spread throughout the candy bark.

Step 3: Once candy melts have melted, spread about 1/4 inch thick of candy melt onto the parchment paper.

Step 4: Now you can add Oreos, pretzels, Kit-Kat bars, and candy corn onto your candy bark.

Step 5: Add an extra layer of left over candy melts on top of your assorted treats. As well as adding left over treats.

Step 6: Place into freezer for 10 minutes.

Step 7: After 10 minutes, take out and let cool off for a little before breaking bark into smaller pieces.

Step 8: Your Halloween bark is ready for it’s goodie bags!

This looks so tasty! During the Christmas period I make one pretty similar to this with white chocolate, pretzels, oreo’s and M&M’s (green and red only). It’s one of the little christmas treats that you long for year round. And the wash tape is such a cute touch!

That sounds delicious!! I think I’m going to have to make peppermint bark this Christmas too! It’s dangerous, but sooo good!
